Partnerships in the Circular economy sector

Utility partnerships in the circular economy sector are collaborations between one or more German municipal waste management companies and international partners from the circular economy field. At the core is a cooperative, peer-to-peer approach, where professionals from the participating companies regularly exchange ideas on relevant topics and learn from one another. The Utility Platform initially focused on partnerships in the water sector. The first utility partnership in the circular economy sector was established in June 2023.

The fundamental idea is that potential for improving the circular economy lies within the companies themselves. Through the systematic exchange of experience, knowledge, and best practices, companies are strengthened collectively, and their performance is sustainably enhanced. Circular economy partnerships typically work, for example, on more efficient route planning for waste collection or achieving better composting results.
