The visit took place as part of the solidarity operator partnership launched in 2023. After providing material support last year – including pumps, leak detection devices, laboratory equipment, activated carbon and other necessary resources – this year’s meeting focused on professional exchange and knowledge transfer.

Focus of the visit
During their stay, our Ukrainian colleagues gained a wide range of insights into the organisation and technical processes at Gelsenwasser:
- Visits to key locations, including the Scholven elevated tank and the Haltern waterworks
- Presentation of water treatment and distribution processes
- Practical exercises, particularly in the field of PE welding at the depot
- Technical exchange on organisational structures, geodata management and operational management
- Getting to know modern technologies for water extraction, purification and work in laboratory areas

First steps towards further development
Immediately after returning, Kremenchukvodokanal held an internal meeting to present the results of the visit and derive new directions for the company’s development. The insights gained provide valuable impetus that can contribute to further improving the quality of water supply and wastewater disposal for the population of Kremenchuk in the context of further cooperation and visits.

The visit was characterised by intensive exchange, collegial cooperation and great mutual interest. All participants contributed to a successful and insightful programme through their commitment.
Gelsenwasser and Kremenchukvodokanal look forward to the next steps in their partnership and to future visits.
Kremenchukvodokanal would like to express its sincere thanks to Gelsenwasser for its support and valuable insights.
